I recognise that it has been a fair while since my last blog post and realised it was probably about time for an update on how things have gone the past few months.
I ended a 3 year Graphic Design University course with an overall 1st, a result I was more than chuffed with. On top of that, I also gained entry into the International Society of Typographic Designers, where I got the chance to meet German typographic wizard Erik Spiekermann (pictured above).
I was among those lucky few to get offered a job straight out of University and am now currently working for wayfinding design giants City ID as an information designer.
Although I may not post as much original design as I used to, expect to see more photography, experiences and inspiration in the future.
I intend to go forward being more active, you can follow my tweets and see what I’m pinning.

For the past couple of months, I have been working on a little side project called ‘Knack’. The intention is to create a new periodical magazine that documents the stories of leading professionals across a range of various industries.
Here are some shots of the work I have done so far for it encompassing a refurbished 50.cal ammo box, a magazine and a vinyl wrapped tyre.
Keep tabs on the project as it progresses through the website, the facebook page and the twitter feed.

Really enjoying the feel of this song recently. The whole album is really strong and serves as a reasonable backing track to the endless nights of strenuous designing.

A hot off the press preview of the new UWE Graphic Design Publication ‘Quixotic’ — the sum of 14 weeks hard work from Abbie Vickress, Andrew Duncan, Josh Sherwood, Rebecca Penmore and myself.
I had the privilege to work on the publication for our course at Uni with these other guys. Unfortunately for now, it’s still under wraps and you can only have this sneak peek of the cover, keep your eyes peeled for the launch of the full publication later in May.

This is a teaser video I made for a project I’m doing called Knack, a fresh new periodical that peers into the lives and professions of the skilled and talented individuals and businesses from around the country. The aim is simple; to discover what goes on behind the services, products and people and hopefully bring to light some interesting, unusual and unheard stories along the way.
Check out the website here.

This was a small freelance job that I got for a publication called California Classics, a guide to some of the greatest movies filmed in the golden state.
I was tasked with producing some logo type pieces to accompany the map pages of the document, that contained the locations of each film in Central, Northern and Southern California.
These are the finished versions of each logo along with some shots of them within the publication.
